Stephen has practised tax law for over 20 years, firstly leading a team of lawyers at Inland Revenue then as a tax barrister practising on his own account. He has experience in all aspects of tax and specialises in complicated tax technical cases, tax avoidance cases, and tax evasion prosecutions.

Inland Revenue investigations are very stressful for clients but Stephen is skilled at cost-effectively resolving these cases whether by negotiation, through the tax disputes process, or court.

Stephen is based in Christchurch and has a national practice regularly travelling to Auckland and Wellington.
